WSET Level 3 Wine Kit 2

The second kit in the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines features wines from the Spain, Portugal, and the Mediterranean basin. You'll taste wines from Provence, Rhone, Languedoc, Rioja, Duoro and Greece.

All wines packaged in 50ml PET bottles and include:
Casamaro Verdejo (A21)
Garciarévalo is situated at the confluence of the rivers Adaja and Eresma, which produces an exceptional microclimate characterized by temperatures up to five degrees cooler than other surrounding areas. This zone also offers a big climatic difference between the day and the nighttime temperatures, which is key for retaining acidity. Far from the arid conditions one expects in Castilla y León, their elevation at 900m and location within a pine forest, between two rivers, provides an ideal microclimate for producing beautiful, fresh, native verdejo grapes.
Baron de Ley Rioja (A37)
Barón de Ley is a winery located in Spain’s most celebrated wine region, Rioja, a privileged terroir to farm and craft premium quality wines. Housed in a centuries-old monastery, where the monks made wine more than 500 years ago, Barón de Ley was founded in 1985 as a ground-breaking project in DOCa Rioja: a vineyard-focused winery inspired by the Médoc châteaux.
Condes Albarei Albarinjo (A38)
A small group of farmers dedicated to sustainable viticulture make this affordable but high-quality Albarino. Bright peach and apricot shine brightest with some tropical notes of pineapple and passion fruit. Also has some delicate orange blossom and citrus hints joined with some wet stone.
Beauvert Cotes du Rhone (A55)
Beauvert Cotes du Rhone The Bastide de Beaufort vineyards are located in the medieval village Saint-Victor la Coste in the historic birthplace of the southern Cote du Rhone region
Can Blau (A68)
Cellers Can Blau, founded in 2003, is one of the oldest projects of the Gil Family in Jumilla. Placed in El Molar, in the D.O. Montsant, this winery is the most diverse project regarding the grape varieties and the type of soils. The D.O. Montsant is nowadays releasing at its best the enological quality of its wines. Differently from its illustrious adjacent D.O. Priorato, in D.O. Montsant we work with unique varieties such as Cariñena or Mazuelo and Grenache, planted in and adapted to different types of soils. Nuria López Sarroca is the person in charge of the technical direction of the Winery.
Bonavita Tinto (A71)
Casa Santos Lima vineyards in the Alenquer wine region of Portugal ©Casa Santos Lima Casa Santos Lima is a family-owned wine company in Portugal. It has been at the forefront of the Portuguese wine industry since the 19th Century, although wines have only been made under the Santos Lima name since 1996. It is located in the Alenquer DOC within the wider Lisboa region, 28 miles (45km) north of the city of Lisbon.
Nasiakos Agiorgitiko (A80)
In the heart of Mantinia in Arcadia, Peloponesse, is a small winery owned by Leonidas Nasiakos, a second-generation winemaker and forth generation viticulturalist. Nasiakos' vineyard is 2000 feet above sea level at the highlands of Mantinia. These very high elevations prolong the harvest time which ensures that sugar levels are at desirable levels. For Nasiakos, harvest time is in early October. Nasiakos has won numerous awards for his winemaking techniques.
