Nikka Yoichi Single Malt (S28)This is a single malt from the Yoichi Distillery, Nikka’s first distillery built in 1934. |
NOTES |
The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotland, where he learned whisky making. Yoichi single malt has pleasant peaty notes and smokiness originating from the traditional direct coal-fired distillation as well as a briny hint delivered by the sea breeze during the aging process. |

Arran 10 yr (S48)Chosen as a lovely example of a Bourbon barrel aged whisky. First released in 2006, this 10-year whisky is the flagship single malt from Arran located on the namesake island off the southwest coast of the mainland. |
NOTES |
From Arran Island, with remarkable water from Loch na Davie. The initial rush of rich vanilla sweetness gives way to a touch of cinnamon which adds a spicy edge to the soft and sweet texture. The classic Arran citrus notes have rounded with age and reveal new depths of character against a background of sweet oak. |

Aberlour 12 yr (S49)Aberlour Single Malt was born in the Speyside village of Aberlour, made with local spring water from the Ben Rinnes and barley now locally sourced from the fields of our distillery. Aberlour specialises in double cask maturation, with whiskies matured in Oloroso sherry and American oak casks that are then combined to impart depth, complexity and character. |
NOTES |
The distillery uses four pot stills in its double distillation process to produce its new make spirit. With the pear shape, the pot and the conical neck have the classic design. With no constriction or reflux bowls in the neck and the lyne arm facing downwards you would expect a very strong and intense distillery character which you don't get. So this leads to how fast Aberlour distills its spirits, the gentle sweet and calm nature of this 12 shows what a very slow distillation process will create. |

Makers Mark (S72)Maker's Mark is made with soft red winter wheat, instead of the usual rye, for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon that's easy to drink. To ensure consistency, we rotate every barrel by hand and age our bourbon to taste, not time. Each and every bottle of Maker's is still hand-dipped in our signature red wax at our distillery in Loretto, Ky., just like Bill, Sr., would have wanted. Woody oak, caramel, vanilla and wheat prevail in the nose. Taste is sweet and balanced with caramel, vanilla and fruity essences. Smooth and subtle finish. |
NOTES |
Maker's Mark bourbon's mash bill is 70% corn, 16% soft red winter wheat, and 14% malted barley. The unique mash bill, which was the result of an experiment by John Samuels, Sr., is crucial to the bourbon's character. |

Amrut Single Malt Whiskey (S74)Every aspect of Amrut is handled with the utmost love and passion. This whisky is distilled from select Indian barley harvested from fields close to the Himalayas, cultivated using age old agrarian practices and nurtured by the pristine rivers flowing there. The barley is then transported 2600 KM to our distillery in Bengaluru - the Garden City of India to be carefully mashed and distilled in small batches to preserve its natural aroma. Once distilled, the liquid is matured in selected oak barrels. To retain the natural characteristics of this oak-aged Indian single malt whisky, we do not chill filter and bottle it in its natural color, some haze may therefore be noticed. |
